We aspire to be the cornerstone of their success, facilitating with excellence their academic journey and seamless entry into the Canadian workforce.

Our Mission
Live and Work Together has the mission to facilitate the educational and socio-professional support of international students, refugees, permanent residents, and immigrants from black communities.
This mission materializes through the development and promotion of means to encourage excellent educational and socio-professional integration of migrants and black students by creating opportunities for training, internships, and decent employment. This is achieved through the development of partnerships with universities, businesses, professionals, and stakeholders in the field.

Sharing
It is the founding concept of our organization where everyone gives and receives. It is a network of exchanges, a federation of energies, skills, and commitments from each individual.
Solidarity and Commitment
Prioritizing social, supportive, and equitable relationships; being devoted; promoting 'living together' and actively participating in community life; collaborating with all stakeholders contributing to the education, training, and integration of immigrants, international students, and black communities.
We are committed to making every effort to combat injustice and exclusion affecting international students, immigrants, and the black community by implementing relevant and sustainable grassroots actions.
Professionalism
Quality interventions characterized by respect, fairness, and rigor, meeting the expectations of clients.
Inclusion
A duty to make the services of the Live and Work Together organization inclusive for all its clientele. We aim to create a work environment where all men and women are treated fairly and respectfully, have equal access to opportunities and resources provided by Living and Working Together.
Our History
- Live and Work Together has received a second grant from the initiative supporting black communities in Canada to implement its program for the social and professional integration of foreign students after COVID-19.
- Live and Work Together collaborates with the National Danse School of Canada to offer dance workshops to young individuals interested in street dances.
- Live and Work Together has equipped itself with a digital platform to support students and researchers in their scientific research process.

- Live and Work Together has received a first grant from the initiative supporting black communities in Canada to implement its capacities building program.

- In 2019, the organization mobilizes around thirty students and enables them to contribute by supporting around twenty civil society organizations in Africa.
- The organization Live and Work Together established a partnership with the Federation of Cultural Communities of the Eastern Townships (FCCE) to support students and promote their socio-professional integration.
- The organization Live and Work Together is involved in several projects with Plymouth-Trinity Church and the United Church of Canada. Our collaboration has led to the creation of the Francophone Mission of Sherbrooke. As a result of this collaboration, several of our members have been featured in the francophone magazine 'Aujourd'hui Credo' of the United Church of Canada.

- The organization Live and Work Together initially started as an accredited university association at the Université de Sherbrooke (Quebec) in 2016. Since then, Living and Working Together has collaborated with several funding programs for student activities at the Université de Sherbrooke. We work with the Projects Milieu program, the Student Engagement Support Fund (FAEE) program, the Joint Fund for Sustainable Development Initiatives grant program, and the Université de Sherbrooke Master's and Doctoral Students Association (REMDUS).
